Comedian Jack Whitehall confirmed his engagement to model Roxy Horner in the perfect Christmas proposal that has us all reaching for the tissues. 

Whitehall proposed to Horner in a Christmas-themed setting with an elegant pear-cut engagement ring. Horner revealed she was engaged in an Instagram reel where she retrieved the ring from a Christmas tree. She shared the news with Whitehall and her one-year-old daughter Elsie with videos of how busy 2024 has been for them.

Lady GaGa and Michael Polansky - July 2024

Singer and actress Lady GaGa’s engagement to tech investor and philanthropist Michael Polanski was kept a secret until the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. 

It was the first time they were seen in public as a newly engaged couple when Mother Monster introduced Polanski as her fiance in July. Over a month later, GaGa wore an 8-carat oval-cut solitaire engagement ring at the Venice Film Festival in September. GaGa’s oval engagement ring is estimated to be worth over $1 million (£797,280).

Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen - July 2024

2018 Love Island winner and actress Dani Dyer, the daughter of actor Danny Dyer got engaged to English footballer Jarrod Bowen in July. 

Dyer and Bowen had been together for three years before they announced their engagement while on holiday. She revealed her engagement ring on Instagram which has a five-carat oval diamond on a pave band, surrounded by smaller diamonds on the ring. Many diamond experts have estimated Dyer’s oval-cut engagement ring to be worth $100,000 (£79,758).

Matty Healy and Gabbriette - June 2024

The 1975 frontman Matty Healy announced his engagement to musician and model Gabbriette in June. 

Gabbriette went viral on Instagram Stories when she gave hints that Healy had proposed to her by writing: “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT”. She unveiled her engagement ring in an Instagram post, which revealed a black diamond halo engagement ring. 

The black diamond is surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, creating the perfect sparkly addition to compliment the large black diamond center. Denise Welch revealed that Healy had designed the ring, which is set on an 18-karat gold band.
